Island Surf & Sail on Long Beach Island is New Jersey's premier
east coast surf shop for all your boardsport needs. Wakeboarding, kiteboarding, windsurfing,
surfing, snowboarding, iceboarding, skateboarding, paddlesurfing, and kayaking. We offer the
latest gear, and finest instruction in ALL the sports that we carry.
First and foremost, we at Island Surf & Sail are a team- a family of sort,
mostly dysfunctional, bound together by the love of riding the wind, water,
waves and snow. Secondly we are a surf shop. Island Surf & Sail works so that
you too can enjoy the simple pleasures that have become our way of life. We
spend countless hours in the shop, but more importantly on the water, testing
gear so that when you walk in the door, we can set you up with the RIGHT
equipment. The shop also serves as a clubhouse, a place to come and hang out,
talk about the great session you just had, check out new gear, or just watch
the latest videos. Thirdly, we are a school. It's a constantly evolving elite
educational experience. IS&S can't award you a diploma, but we can teach
you how to ride, the wind, water, surf, and snow.
We have fun! If the winds up, we kitesurf or windsurf. If there's swell
rolling in, were paddling out, surfing, or stand up paddling perfect waves. When the bay looks
glassy, we're behind the wake board boat going huge, or ripping it up at our
slider park. In the winter, when most of the northeast is shoveling snow, we're
out in it, snowboarding the slopes, snowkiting the fields, or iceboarding on
the ice of the nearest frozen lake or bay.
